Dr. Erickson Matundura

Dr. Erickson Matundura is an accomplished Economist, academic researcher, and university administrator with extensive experience in teaching, research, academic leadership and institutional management. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics and has specialized expertise in macroeconomics, econometrics, public finance, economic policy analysis and quantitative research methods.

He currently serves as the Deputy Director (Administration and Marketing) at the University of Eldoret City Campus, where he oversees administrative operations, strategic planning, student recruitment, and stakeholder engagement. He is also an experienced university lecturer, having taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in economics, econometrics, research methods, public finance, international trade, and development economics.

Dr. Matundura has conducted and supervised numerous research projects focusing on economic growth, taxation, public health expenditure, infrastructure development, climate change, and sustainable development. His scholarly work emphasizes evidence-based policy analysis using econometric techniques, including time series analysis, panel data analysis and forecasting models.

His emerging research interests include artificial intelligence in economics, digital transformation, climate change economics, sustainable development, and data-driven public policy. He is committed to advancing knowledge through research, mentoring students, and contributing to national and regional socioeconomic development through innovative teaching, consultancy and policy engagement.
