Dr. Richard Ochieng'

Senior Lecturer of Geography at the University of Eldoret, social scientist and Agro-Climatologist with research and professional interests in land-use management, environmental management, climate change, food security, drought analysis and pastoral resilience. Experienced in multidisciplinary and inter-institutional research, policy engagement, research management, data collection, analysis and reporting. Has collaborated with researchers and institutions in China, Norway, Kenya, the United Kingdom, Mongolia and the United States. Serves as Chair of BioCosmos Kenya and has contributed to academic discourse on Intelligent Design. Experienced postgraduate mentor and supervisor, research consultant and project team member. Recipient/contributor to externally and institutionally funded research and development projects, including EAGLE, social innovation and service-learning, resilient pastoralism, climate information services and Intelligent Design initiatives. Developer of the Smart Connect digital communication application and co-author of the book Beyond Evolution: Unraveling Intelligent Design in Nature’s Blueprint.
